OktoberQuest

The Second Annual OktoberQuest 5K Run Walk will be held on October 8, 2016. The race starts and ends at St. Francis Society located at 152 8th Ave, Frankfort, NY. Cash prizes will be awarded to the Top Finishers.  We would like to make this a family affair so kids ages 12 and under can walk for free (must be accompanied by a registered adult).  Strollers are allowed for walkers but please be careful and courteous.  The first 100 registrants will receive a long sleeve race shirt.

The OktoberQuest 5K Run Walk was added to a larger fundraiser to benefit a local agency, CNY Quest.  CNY Quest is a non-profit organization that provides service coordination and community habilitation to children and adults with developmental disabilities, including autism.  The annual fundraiser includes a Chicken BBQ and Raffles of both large and small ticket items.  Advanced tickets for the Chicken BBQ ($10 each) and the large item Raffle tickets (flatscreen tv, bicycles, wine refrigerator) are available at Spohn Disposal (315) 866-8820 or at CNY Quest (315) 732-3431.

The 5K Run Walk is a way for us to bring the community together, get our blood pumping, and raise awareness about the need for services in this area.  1 in 68 children are diagnosed with autism and autism related disorders every year.  It is very difficult to navigate through the referral processes and to even know what resources are available...that's where CNY Quest comes in.  Whether you or a loved one was just diagnosed or if you have been receiving services but feel like there must be more out there, CNY Quest can help you through that process.
